Organic certification: a guarantee for organic and sustainable food
Products certified as organic in accordance with the EU Organic Regulation confirm that they are produced and processed in accordance with the strict criteria of organic farming. These include the avoidance of synthetic pesticides and genetic engineering, species-appropriate animal husbandry and the protection of the soil and environment. Compliance with these standards is regularly checked by independent inspection bodies. Only companies that meet these requirements are allowed to label their products with the EU organic logo and the German organic seal.
